Just Ask

"Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field."
Matthew 9:38 (NIV)

Did you know that 21% of churchgoers invite someone else to go to church? Continue reading to find out why this statistic is skewed...

September's Kingdom Builders meeting introduced an exciting evangelism technique coined the “Just Ask” campaign.

So, what exactly is Just Ask, you may be asking (no pun intended). It is a way for all Christians, regardless of their comfort level, to start witnessing in their community!

Why am I wearing this button?” asked Rachael Berguson, CEO of Kingdom, Inc., to a befuddled audience. She went on to explain that the bright yellow buttons provoke interest in people, getting them to ask why the wearer has the button on. When someone asks what the button is for, the wearer hands them a CD of a GodStory or your church's own weekly sermon.

So, how easy is it to wear the button? It is very easy, as Rachael pointed out. You just put on the button, and watch how many people start asking you about it. If someone doesn't ask you about the button, Rachael went on to explain, simply point to the button, and they are bound to ask.

The Just Ask campaign is a great way to get shy believers to share the Good News of Christ. Just Ask kits were handed out at the Kingdom Builders meeting so you can jump start your Just Ask campaign now! Each kit comes with cards and CD cases that you can customize with your church's name and address. The Just Ask kits will also be sold in Kingdom's catalogs as an evangelism tool.

Now, back to that statistic from the beginning of this article. While it is true that 21% of churchgoers invite a friend to go to church, 98% of people that are invited to church already belong to a church! We can help reverse this statistic by asking those 98% of churchgoers invited to church to be a part of the Just Ask campaign, and watch as our community becomes transformed for Christ!

The Vine Ministry Planning & Review (MP&R)

“An idea without a plan is nothing more than a wish or hollow intention!”

Overview:

It is a goal-oriented, action plan to advance the Kingdom of God by helping Pod members and pod leaders dream, plan, grow, and improve in their daily lives through the five equipping ministries of planting, envisioning, evangelism, caring, and teaching. (Eph. 4:11)

Process:

1. Christians attach themselves to Christ, the true vine, and to each other in Pods on the vine.

2. Pod leaders and members become aware of the equipping gifts.

3. Members actively plan how to use gifts daily to advance the Kingdom of God.

Includes sheets on setting goals, guidelines, and implementation dates for various ideas in our local area. To hear more, or for more information, click here.
